I'm not angry....Once again, I think you missed the gist.....If there is no information......where do you find it? all I am saying is there is ways to figure out what is needed with out an engineer's degree (sorry about that Miles) :roll:

I think that people are reading more into my post than is there....The rule of thumb that I learned was.....pull the power, Level the bottom of the wings to the horizon, hold whatever pitch it takes to keep the wings level to the horizon, allow the aircraft to settle down, the speed that is indicate...

George is right (as usual) but before I would put a number on best glide (since every aircraft is different, after 50 years of people tweaking them) take your aircraft up and level the wings -pull the power- and watch the airspeed indicator....this will give you best glide, at the weight at the time...

Landing at midway (mdw) will still cost you with full tanks...... landing fee 25.00.... fuel 5 gal @ 6.00-landing fee forgiven......cost to you....5.00 and landing at midway isn't any fun anymore....anyway.

Miles.... I couldn't remember if the seats I had were full seats or just frames......after going out to the container, I found them frames.....sorry to get your hopes up..... these were 1959 175 seats, but would have worked.......if your mechanic would allow........ BTW in your orginal post you aske...
