Like Jud says. You already know how to copy it to your clipboard. Now paste it into Paint or any other editing software and crop, trim, add arrows or whatever, then save it as a JPG file to your desktop, then upload it into your message on the forums. You can do this with any open window on your PC....

170 to the rescue (beer run)

Re: Satellite tracking gizmo for safety
Spot has expanded it's satellite coverage to include all of Alaska:
Here is what my friends and family saw online from my recent moos hunt:
Spot has also changed the shared pages to show activity in the last 7 days, not just 24 hours.- Tue Sep 16, 2008 5:37 pm

Miles, I'm not positive, but I think the local butcher does sell some moose products. Safeway and Fred Meyer do not.cessna170bdriver wrote: PS: Can you buy moose at the market in Alaska?

Re: Another successful moose hunt thanks to the 170
I'm curious is this hunt purely for sport or normal operations for food? ... in PA I wouldn't have to ask the question, it would be for sport cause no one here hunts to put food on the table. It is definitely to put food on the table and reduce your grocery bill. Most of my friends up here will tak...

Re: Another successful moose hunt thanks to the 170
How many shuttle trips did you have to make? The day we shot the two moose, I flew most of the meat out the first day in 6 round trips. I got the rest of the meat and the remaining two guys the next day in 4 trips. We were 33 miles north of town and it was taking 1:10 per round trip and 6 gallons o...

Another successful moose hunt thanks to the 170
Flew a buddy to the King Salmon area 270 miles away. From there we picked up our gear and two more friends and began shuttling them and their gear to camp. We had to move camp a few times but were finally successful after spotting a couple of bulls a quarter mile from one lake. We camped near the bu...

Re: Engine stutter
While climbing out of Oakland the other day my C-145-2 stuttered - just so slightly... My C-145-2 does that a few times a year also and it happened just the other day. A mechanic said it's probably ingesting carb ice and I have to agree with him as I can duplicate the same stutter when in fact I am...

Re: Sportsman STOL Equiped Airplanes
How many of you out there are flying with a Sportsman STOL kit on their plane? Dean Dean, I put my Sportsman on last winter and the only test I did pre-install was glide ratio. I got 8.8:1 before the mod and 9.35:1 after. Far from the published 13:1 and I was really looking forward to the safety as...

Re: Western Alaska Fishing Trip
Richard,
I didn't get your message in time, so we walked to your cabin and a neighbor informed us you were out of town until maybe Sunday. We continued to Nushagak and fishing was pretty slow. I caught one each of the two days there, but that was it. Here are some pictures:

Richard, Are you there now? I see you are posting so you must have internet access there. If so, you can track my progress on SPOT Wednesday and know when to expect a knock on your door. Looks like the Kings (Chinooks) are running hard. 16,000+ entered the Nushagak the other day: http://www.sf.adfg....

Is there really a FSS Ramp? If so, is it acutaly manned? By whom...Lockheed Martin or FSS personnel? Yep, it's still manned by a federal employee. "On October 4, 2005, 58 AFSS sites and personnel, except Alaska, were contracted to Lockheed Martin. Only the 3 Alaskan AFSS and 14 FSS sites remai...

Re: Western Alaska Fishing Trip
It's about a 5 minute walk from the 7-25 transient parking. Richard, Is this the transient parking? I've never noticed that lot before. I've only stopped by the fuel pump which I noticed is now over $7.25 per gallon. Weather permitting, I'll be stopping there about noon on the 2nd. I'll try and vis...
