Re: '98C Gets a New Windshield

Miles, I hope the new windshield cures your headache, but by the looks of that center strap breaking like it did, I think there is more to this than what you see. My question is why did the windshield crack, and what made that strip of metal pull itself apart? Could full flaps at too high a speed cr...

New twist of an old scam BEWARE

Friend of mine decided to sell his plane. Posted it with the price and got a response right away. The buyer said it was just what he's been looking for and would pay the asking price. :D Now the seller is delighted, and allows the 'buyer' to send a check with the agreed upon deposit. Receives the ch...

Re: Dial Ups Beware: Arthur Godfrey & the Constellation

Those Connies are Magnificent! I had travelled to Pompano Beach out of high school (chasing a girl, my wife of 37 yrs.) and there at Boca Raton, sat this Constellation with the bottom door hanging open. Couldn't resist... Later on, a Connie was on approach to Fort Lauderdale Exec. and ran out of gas...

Re: Polarize Generator After Turning Master Switch Off Every

I feel for you! After replacing my battery, generator and voltage regulator, all was good! For a while. Dam if things didn't change! How could this be? :? Well, thanks to my AI and friend, they found the broken, shielded field wire going from the generator to the voltage regulator. The internal wire...

Breakfast flight to Nantucket 3-7-10
