Re: Big Rocks Long Props

I don't know what a Highlander is, but I do know that six dollar av gas is making people creative about flying. That guy is very creative.

Re: Cessna Baggage Door

What are your plans for covers for your Atlee Dodge seats?

I had my covers made by Fine Line Interiors in Anchorage and are very pleased. The covers snap on / off for easy storage. The kids complain a little less now.

Nice door!

Re: Folding Seats

I have the Atlee Dodge and love them. They are a big project to install, but worth the effort. I had my covers made by Fine Line Interiors in Anchorage, they have done many sets of them and are experts. The covers are easily removed to allow fold-up storage against the side of the plane. Fly safe, Bob

Re: Green Hell (and the Oakland Airport)

George,

Your story made the hairs on my neck stand up, and even made my eyes leak.

I have read some bios of the General and the brave men who flew the famous raid with him, and have two words for them 'RESPECT' and 'COURAGE'.

You had a real experience.

Re: 406 MHZ

I am not an expert in this arena, but I have formed some opinions about flying in the Seattle / Puget Sound area. First, a plane crashed between two airports in a very populated area locally and it took over a week to find the wreckage. The plane ended up in a stand of trees a short distance from th...

Kevin, I know that this is off-topic from your question, but since the topic of gps came up in replies I thought that I would add... it is helpful to select the speed display on your gps to match your airspeed indicator units. On final I use the gps as a quick check to see if I misread the wind dire...

Inst. drain at fuel selector?

Hello all, I believe that an STC exists to install a drain valve at the low point at the bottom of the fuel selector, and I think that I have seen them on eBay. I have a '54 170B, and have looked at the drain plug that is supposed to be removed and drained at annual (mine appears to have not been do...

Fuse Holder

How does free sound? I just converted my '54 B to c.b's., the fuse holders are now collecting dust. Get me your address and they will go out 2-day mail.

To all who responded, a sincere thank you. I at least know that it is not a 170, but a 120 or 140 will suffice. Great depth of knowledge in this club, well worth the dues.

Can you help identify this plane?

My wonderful wife bought me a framed poster for Christmas, but I am not able to tell if it is a 140 or a 170. Can anyone provide insight? Thanks, Bob Trying to add the image, hope it works... http://www.allposters.com/gallery.asp?startat=/getposter.asp&APNum=1424710&CID=9E34FA81A5C04A7893761...

Dave,

From the looks of the places you land, your pair of tires are not the only pair that are larger than mine.
