SO much easier to go in through the striker plate... don't even have to remove the door from the plane. Just saying...

In earlier days, you could install a leading edge light based on the similarity to the ones installed on the A and B models, using a 337. There is one 337 on file at the TIC170A web page in the MX section. Not sure if the average FAA inspector will sign off on those any more without a DER approval, ...

Here is an alternate method of installation for the two tension spring method of repair that does not require removing the latch from the door. Regarding the instrument light sockets, Neal Wright on the Cessna 120-140 website was able to locate them for me. They are made by SPC Technology, Type LSL-11-151U and are available from Newark.com. I am 6'9" and weigh 320, and I have been flying a stock A model since 1982. Ironically, the C-195 may not really be an option for a very tall pilot. For some of us, the limitation is knee rook under the panel or, in the case of a C-195 or Bonanzas, the external yoke often interferes with knees ...

I have reclining seats from a 1964 Skyhawk and they are great with the exception of ,as Bruce mentioned, removal from the front. Mary loves that reclining thing though. It is also great when you have to set down at an unattended airport for a couple hours waiting for weather to pass....just flip it...
