Re: 48 exterior fuel pump fittings

Fabulous Gary. I thought this pump was restricted to the 48’s 145-2A and the forward door post. I guess later models weren’t changed yet. Hope you are doing well. Thanks, problem solved.

48 exterior fuel pump fittings

I am looking for the part numbers of the fittings that extend from the fuel pump and connect the two fuel lines to/from the carburetor. Any direction to drawings/manuals would be helpful. Thank you

Re: One Seventy logo

I am wrapping up the restoration of my 48. I worked with Dan Wood and painted the plane's polished area, but all the trim is the original scheme down to the rivet. The gentleman who did my art work for the masks may very well still have them in his archives. I can send you many pictures if you send m...

Re: 4th tank in a 1948 Ragwing

I have the fourth tank in my 48. The plumbing flange needs to be moved inboard on the lower right of the outboard 4th tank and the inboard tank needs an access flange welded outboard on the lower left. You'll then just connect with a rubber fuel hose and clamps. Take a hole saw and drill the rib in ...

Wheel Pant Axle Nut

The 48 IPC reflects the subject as part number 0441130. There is a plethora of -2s in the used market, but so far I have only located one at Preferred Airparts. I am going to fabricate the fiberglass pants which will have some play in them, but I don't know if there is a difference in the two parts ...

Re: 1948 Vertical Stabilizer wrenching bolts

-14 is $1.28 sold individually; -18 is $8.53 each sold in a package of five; countersunk washer is part number 20002C5 at $.28 each sold in a package of 25. I will bring the surplus to next year’s convention when I will have the restoration completed. Once again, I appreciate everyone’s help through...

Re: 1948 Vertical Stabilizer wrenching bolts

With everyone's input the part number of the wrenching bolts for the vertical stabilize in the 1948 IPC has been superceded. NAS145-14 and -18 are now MS20005-5 and -9. I sourced these bolts from Genuine Aircraft Hardware Co. out of Billings, MT. Thanks for all the help, much appreciated. Mike

1948 Vertical Stabilizer wrenching bolts

The IPS reflects two bolts, an NAS145-18 and a 14. I cannot locate the 14. I've tried Preferred Airparts, Yingling, and Univar. An NAS145-15 is available. Is the 14 a typo in the IPS or are we using the 15 and putting a thick washer(s) on? Comments appreciated. Thanks
