Hi, Just checking in and saw your add about the 664 Magneto. I have a 664 magneto tjhat was removed from a airworthy 0-300D engine. T.T. when removed. If needed you could have it for $100.00 and also a half of a 664 magneto with the impulse still installed with a rotating magnet and coil for $50.00....

There definitly is a AD out on the Bendix mags for years. The rotating magnet that had flat sides or brass inserts were to be discarded. OK for air boats. Also the coul had to to be a red one. Although they lasted for years after the AD was out they would develope cracks and ghround out to the case....

Read all the above. I believe that some people do not make sure all AD's are C/W. I believe that the two mags failing might be the fact that the coils were the old type that should have been replaced years back per a AD on coils and rotating magnetos. I have checked Bendix mags as only over a year a...
