Re: '48 C170 Fuel Pump

I thought I would pursue this with Transport Canada, TC have approved me to do so and therefore eliminating the requirement to install the original pump, manifold, two fuels, and a fuel pressure gauge. That's the story....I will need to submit the appropriate paperwork but the main thing is they ar...

No date of manufacture shown on data plate, but that early US registration sure points to 1948. Probably not worth the government red tape to get it changed.

Re: C170 Serial Numbers

My rag wing #18109 is registered as manufactured in 1947. There is no date of manufacture on the data plate.

One may want to investigate the possibility of a conflict of space, if an oil filter adapter is to be installed.

If this is the "INTERNATIONAL Cessna 170 Association", then perhaps a convention could be held outside of the USA.

Re: AV-30-C

Has anyone installed one with the tailbeaconX? I am considering this, as it should meet future Canadian requirements.

Re: Intercom Tone When Transmitting

Check that the new coax braid is connected at both ends. You could be getting RF into the mic audio circuit.

Re: '48 Cabin Heat

Serial no 18109 . Figure 46. There was the wrong size scat tube (too large) with wire removed and it was kinked. We fixed it with a piece of 2" scat today. I will see how it works, next time I fly. What a cramped place to try to work.

Thanks for your reply

'48 Cabin Heat

My '48 has very poor Cabin heat due to crimped scat tube between firewall and vent. Has anyone tried removing this scat tube and letting the warm air go where it will? Any reason not to try this?

Re: 48-170 Gas Tank Cover gaskets (Gas caps)

Are the 206 gas caps a direct replacement; or is there a modification required?
