Re: fueltank adapter

fueltank adapter

I know this has been discussed & rediscussed but I just replaced the gaskets on my fuel tank filler neck & adapter & after all the discussion I put a gasket inside the tank & one outside the tank in spite of the fact that the IPC shows in fig 2 & fig 7 that there is no gasket ins...

Re: L.E.D. Navigation/Strobes/Interior Lights

Back to the LED nav lights,I had a red 1157 LED bulb in stock from a motor cycle & found that not only did it fit the socket on nav light but the contact in said socket contacts both contacts on said bulb & therefore turns on all LED,s in the bulb.Ordered a green one for the other side &...

Re: Vibration cracks on inner coastal mounts 180hp Lyc.

O.K. I'm confused (don't know if it's again or still)are we talking about a vibration damper on the prop or on the engine that weigh's 7lbs?The only way to damp the vibration of an engine that I know about is with counter weights on the crankshaft,so I guess we are talking about somthing that you ad...

Re: Vibration cracks on inner coastal mounts 180hp Lyc.

Thanx for that clarification,it seems to be stirring a slight fog of recolection now :) For Matt,I have always kept a sharp eye out for the cracks that the LYC conversion is "famous" for & so far after 1300 hrs. none of them have apeared. There were cracks at the bottom of the eng. cow...

Re: Hole in my muffler!

The pointed screws are not the correct screws for use with tinnermman nuts, they are a different pitch than the blunt type "b"which are correct for use with the tinnerman nuts.I admit that the only authority that I have on that is the "Spruce" catalog info on "sheet metal scr...

Re: AK fly-in buzzkill

Good idea Brad, I've been gone from the airlines for some years now & sometimes forget about all those magic compounds that are available.Devcon aluminum putty will work just fine in this case.
