What were the last two readings on those cylinders? I would be more inclinded to put those cylinders on a 10-20-30 hour test cycle to see what they do before I would tear down an engine. What has the "trend" of all the cylinders been doing? I agree with showboat.....just because they are ...

Just read the EAA email....the TSA is imposing more stringent (safe guards) for flights from the US to Canada, and other countries and back...They want to treat a 170 like a 757 (full manifest) before crossing the border.......First read doesn't seam like much....but it is another unreasonable hurdl...

George, As I said earlier I would find the name of the shop that was used where I used to work. It is K&K Precision Welding East Troy WI. 800-537-7494 As I remember the work was excellent.....I don't know what the process cost.......I also don't know if I would repair a spinner or back plate.......
