Does a (reasonably simple) mathematical relationship exist between %BHP, MP, RPM, and Density Altitude?

The putty knife trick is essential, but round off the sharp corners (about 1/4" radius should be adequate). You don't want the putty knife to cut the fabric.

I've made a change to the way the BB handles cookies. It seems to be working OK for me now (using Netscape Communicator 4.75 and IE 6.0). :)

Re: AUTOMATIC LOGIN

I am using Netscape 4.7 and the automatic login has never worked. I have to login sometimes for every topic even though I logged in on the first screen. Yes, I see what you mean. I fired up my old  Netscape 4.75 and duplicated your problem. I'll look into it and see what I can come up with. S...

Versions of IE prior to 5.5 are known to have some problems with cookies. I've heard that 5.5 does too, but I used it for awhile on my Windows computer, and never experience cookie problems (a few others though). Netscape is probably more stable in this regard, but doesn't have all the bells and whi...

Re: Venturi's

I'm not sure I understand your question. There are two venturi's mounted on the left hand side of the aircraft, which I believe were original equipment. Is that what you're asking? No. I was asking what vacuum they are rated at. Its my understanding that venturis are rated by the amount of vacuum t...

I was told many years ago to be careful to NOT overgrease the tailwheel. I've always followed this advice and have not had shimmy problems (yet).

Thanks, George!

I didn't think it would be easy. Theres got to be a reason why glideslope boards for a KX155 are so expensive.

KN75 Glideslope Receiver

I have a KX-155 nav/com and a KI-209 indicator, but no glideslope receiver. I'm told that a KN-75 will work with the KI-209. Can anyone confirm this? Will it interface to a KX155? How difficult would it be to get this all working in my 170? Whats a good price for a KN75? Thanks in advance for any he...

I and my plane are both IFR certified (in fact, I just passed my IPC yesterday). I've flown with the new style DG and AI for 8 years with no problems. I have one 8" venturi mounted on the passenger side. (For those that don't already know, the 8" refers to the amount of vacuum, not the phy...

Re: True Airspeeds

My '53 170B has a McCauley EM 7655 (cruise) prop and it runs about 103-105 kts at 2450 RPM. But at that power setting with that prop it's probably more like a 70-75% power setting. My fuel flows run about 8 gph. The same settings with a standard 7653 prop would likely be about 65% and would run abo...
