Re: AvCon O-360 upgrade in progress (drawings needed)
Hello everyone, First time posting on here, I am currently in the middle of installing a new AvCon O-360 upgrade. I am wondering if anybody had any comments or advice, as well as most importantly, if anyone had the installation drawings from Bob, as we seem to be short a page or two. Any help on th...

Re: General Robt. “Bob” Cardenas Gone West
I had the privilege to meet Gen. Cardenas at the San Diego convention when Duane Shockey invited him there to speak. In 2013 I twisted Duane's arm to help me get him to speak at the Pine Mountain Lake Aviation Assn. (http://www.pmlaa.org/newsletters/2013-02.pdf) dinner that year when I was President...

Look again. It's more like $600-$700 from Cessna. Ridiculous!GAHorn wrote:You won't like the price, but it's available from Premier Aviation (http://www.iwantcessnaparts.com) for $60 each.

Re: New Tailwheel Leaf Springs too thick
I am planning to replace my tailwheel spring group I purchased from Univair in a few weeks on my '54B model. The IPC shows a couple rubber "pads" (cessna P/N 0442119-1). My concern is (assuming they are original) they should be replaced. I can not find them anywhere for sale. How have othe...

Re: Assist Straps
Jere and Marge Verdone at http://www.verdones.com will make the end fittings out of stainless for $40 each. Marge suggested contacting Restoration Specialties Corp for making the cord grips. Like Forrest Walton, I bought a pair of new assist straps from J.W. Duff in Denver for $65/ea. P1010645.JPG ...

Re: Looking for p/n ....striker catch
Hi Patrick,
I'm curious where you found one of these striker plates. Mine just cracked and I am looking for one myself. Brand new from Cessna = $237

Re: Lycoming O-340 Engine
I'm sorry I didn't see discussion earlier. I have been flying my 170B (N3454C) with a Doyne O-340 for some 1,300 hours with absolutely no issues. The Doyne STC includes a constant speed Hartzel propeller, which really makes it perform, but it is an older prop design and has a painful 500 hour AD. My...
