Re: $100 Hamburger SOUTH CENTRAL (TX,OK,AR,LA)
Lockhart, TX, 50R Designated the "Capital of Texas BBQ" by the state legislature. This town was featured in the Wall Street Journal a couple of years. That article described Smitty's brisket as the best in the U.S.A.. That was all the information I needed to fly there from Medford, OR. I w...

Bruce and Brad,
Sparkey Imeson, in his Mountain Flying Bible, notes that wheelie landings allow for more effective braking. His book suggests that maximum effective braking when on the main gear then allows a shorter landing distance.

Re: Gascolator Drain Valve
Bryce, Two weeks ago I was performing a messy oil change on my '52 170B. While using the gascolator valve to obtain some "clean-up solvent", it began to leak. This Kohler valve was easily repaired with a SAF-AIR drain seal (ms29513-006) obtained from Aircraft Spruce. Unfortunately, I left ...

Re: Need I/A in PNW for 170B
Steve Pankonin, Beagle airfield, near Medford. Experienced, reasonable, supports owner assist inspections. Worth the short flight.
Steve has helped me with both a C140, and my 170B.
