Re: ADS-B tail beacon (uAvioni)
Again, thanks for the information. Now it's making so much more sense. I was not aware of the special use 337's. Now it's a slam dunk. Thanks again.

Re: ADS-B tail beacon (uAvioni)
Thanks for the info Bruce, I've installed one on my 170. I was most interested in the 337 and was it a field approval? Any advice would be handy as I haven't started the process with the 337 yet. Just wondering about the approval as it's not an STC.

ADS-B tail beacon (uAvioni)
Has anyone installed one of these beacons? It seems like a great replacement of the tail nav light while complying with the ADS-B out regulation. Any information pertaining to field approval 337's would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at runk140(at)gmail.com.
Thank you
Thank you

Re: 0300 Rocker Arms
I checked the continental web sight and found the 639614 to be a superseded part number. There was also no SB or SIL concerning the substitution of the 639615 in place of the 639614. Strange to say the least.

0300 Rocker Arms
The IPC for the C-125, C-145 and the 0-300 call out two different part numbers for the rocker arm assemblies to be installed. 639615 exhaust and 639614 intake. The difference being an oil squirting orface in the exhaust rocker to lubricate the rocked tip and valve stem. The intake rocker this orface...

Thinking of putting new cylinders on my 0300-C. The ECI's look to be about the best in material and innovation. Any thoughts?

leaning procedures and EGT
After incurring stuck exhaust valves, I've been reading s lot on the C-145/0-300 leaning procedures, fuel flow at cruse but have never seen a recommended EGT to lean to. We all know the old procedure of leaning "pull it out till it stumbles then in 4 clicks" but I'm looking for more inform...

Re: Thrust Line.
To answer the question regarding the cowling, The cowling is orignal and was modifier to accept the nose gear. It was modified again when the nose gear was removed. Again the aircraft flys great just buges me a little when I walk around the nose.

Hey Doug, I don't have a pic at this time but will be going out to my Hgr tomorrow. I'll take some pics then. It's a great Bird and flys straight as an arrow. This bird was in a heavy wind srorm about 10 years ago. The previous owner (also an A+P /IA) put it back together. this turned into a 2 year ...

Re: Thrust Line.
Doug, thanks for your quick reply. I have inspected everything you could imagine. Mounting structure is good at the fire wall, bushings look to be correct and in good shape, proper bolts and washers, the cradle bushings are good as well with no signs of deterioration or off center. Thats why I asked ...

I own a 53 Cessne 170B that was Modified to a "171" back in the mid 50's. Those not fimillar, this was the nose gear mod. In the 80's, it was returned to its former glory as a tail dragger,(convential gear). As part of the orignal mod, the engine mount was changed because of nose gear moun...
