Re: Yoke Tubes
I just had my control wheel tubes re-chromed this spring. And replaced the rivets with original Cessna rivets. The rivets ran about 80.00 for each one. The cost for my tubs to be chromed was 90.00.

Re: Rosen Sunvisors
My thoughts on Rosen visors may be quite a bit different than every one else. Put mine in flew for about 3hrs with them. Hated the Rosen visors they came down to low for me. To close to my face, not dark enough. Don’t wear glasses or sun glasses while flying. Like the old solid Cessna factory ones.

Re: N5000A 1st production 172 help
Dennis, glad to give you my two cents worth. E-Mail at texasgram 06 @ yahoo.com with your number. I can tell you several stories about all the original items I have researched on the 170's. My 170 is a 1955 so your 172 would be very close.

Re: Control Wheel Tubes
Checked with three chrome shops in Ft. Worth. All of the shops only do the regular bumper type chrome.

Control Wheel Tubes
Does anyone know what type of chrome Cessna originally used on the control wheel tubes? I was told it was called "New Chrome." Tanks in advance.
PS Ordered four of the original rivets.

Yes you can get this log book from Cessna. Ordered two last year. Inside the front cover shows Form P122-13 for the yellow log book. Good luck!!!!

Re: Acid wash, then polish?
When I purchased N2935D, it was in need of a good polish job. I started the process with a rotatory buffer using Nuvite grade's 6,7,C,A, and S. Then, after that process was complete, I used a Cyclo orbiter polisher and repeated the same process. The airplane was polished a total of ten times and too...
