Re: Beringer Brakes?
I traded a set of heavy 185 gear legs with no hours on them as the owner put his 185 on anfibs when he purchased it new. Clair at Beringer was looking for a set for testing. She sent me a complete wheel gear setup for the super cub we were bringing back to life. At that time she said they had nothin...

Re: Craftsman hand-tool warranty
Hi George,my cousin and her husband in Germany have a brewery, they have their own label but they also brew under contract to the major labels in Europe. My cousin in LA made up his own label and imported a bunch for his friends. Not sure how it all worked out but with all the micro brewery nowadays...

Re: Seat Rail Replacement
The only place I have ever installed screws is at the ends where they tie into the bulkheads, when the rivet holes were questionable. I have seen them installed with screws and thought it looked cheap. If you can reach in and install a nut and washer, why not just buck a rivet? Since it requires a ...

Re: dying of thirst . dehydration
George, 0ne chain, 66 ft is what our rural road width right of way is. used to be 30 ft wide in the good old days. I am not sure what it is in the rest of Canada, but in B.C, that's it.

Re: My T3 tailwheel is installed
I will be installing my T3 tailwheel as I think the few extra lbs. aft will help with my 0360 and 80" hartzell being heavy up front. We will be weighing and calculating a new weight and balance. I have not had any bad reviews from my friends that are using the T3 in the back country or otherwis...

Re: Aft fuselage inspection panel
Jim, those of us with the 1955b models have a steering arrangement past the last bulkhead that is impossible to access unless you remove the vertical and horizontal stab. when I went into it at my last rebuild I found that two fairleads where bent not allowing the pulleys to turn, and who knows when...

Re: Aft fuselage inspection panel
Thanks Bill, the 170 rear fuselage skinnys down a lot quicker in the last bulkhead section than the 180/185 so I understand what you are referring to. It would be real handy to have an access back there but luckily I don’t have to crawl back for the inspections. That’s what hungry young A&...

Re: Aft fuselage inspection panel
Hi Richard, I had the access service kit for the 180 - 185 and tried to make it fit on my 55 170b, for access to the pulleys in the tail cone but it wouldn't line up properly to be of any use. I have a picture here somewhere of an access panel that was put on the rear left side. I tried to have a Da...
