Re: Electronic magneto replacement
I recently had two Bendix mag overhauled ($2100) Oct 2019 they seem to be going strong again.
Before there was quite a bit of mag drop. I heard the new ones either work or not no warning.
But add a little more power. It’s up to you . OOW

Re: Brake master cylinder
The Big Dummy (me) finally figured it out, the bleeder is two pieces, I was trying to bleed them by loosing the sleeve and not the actual bleeder. Once the light came on I was able to get both sides with good brakes and good petals in less than 20 minutes. Of course I took everything apart and clean...

Re: Bendix or slick mags
I've heard for the last 20-25 years that Bendix was a better mag than Slick. I just had my Bendix rebuilt put them back on in Oct. 2019.
I used QAA in Oklahoma 877-833-6948 , it cost $2150.00, they work great, they were about 10 years TBO. cant remember the hours.

Re: Which headset ?
I had to replace my 35 yr. old Sigtronics headsets, I went with Lightspeed Zulu-2's. Two surprises , first time the 2 AA batteries failed I suddenly heard the engine running , startled me for a moment until I figured out what had happened . You have to adjust the volume to about 50% or you get a chi...

Re: CHT & EGT replacement sending units
That's what I was trying to figure out the gauges have no brand name of numbers on them , so I was going by what A/C Spruce has in their catalog , and it's called out in color of leads.

I'm trying to restore the EGT & CHT the wiring coming out of the back of both receiving units are black & white. A/C Spruce only list sending units with red/yellow or yellow/brown. Any advise or help greatly appreciated. OOW
