Thanks for your time/thoughts regarding screws vs. rivets in the seat rails. I think that I'll go with rivets.

Has anyone used the approved screws to attach the seat rails rather than rivets as advertised at McFarlane Aviation when replacing seat rails?

Thanks to all for your thoughts. My generator has never given me any problems. Some owners have said that they like the fact that an alternator comes online quicker than a generator.

Considering replacing the generator on my '55 170B with an alternator. Looking for recommendations from those who have done this. Which package/STC is the best for our airplane? Thanks.

I have a pair of Wesco wheel replacement skis that came with my 170B when I bought it. The skis have the safety cables and tip up springs attached. Included were the attaching brackets for the fuselage. However, I can't locate any approved data regarding mounting procedures. Any ideas where I might ...
