Re: Garmin Pilot App on an Android Device

I haven't used Garmins app, but I do use Avilution's products on my Android devices. I've flown a lot with AviationMap and it has always worked vey well. It's very similar to ForeFlight and does most, if not all, of what ForeFlight does. It costs me $4.95 per month. Highly recommended!

Re: 170 down in auburn

We also met Kathy and Bruce in Benton Harbor. We both camped at the airport, we in a trailer, them in a small tent. We liked them immediately! They were both very kind and gentle people that enjoyed life! Bruce was an artisan, as shown by their beautiful plane and all the awards it won. Trudy and I ...

Re: Hanlon Wilson Muffler Shroud

I dropped off the shroud at Dawley Aviation today. I should have it back in a couple of days.

Thanks for all the inputs.

Hanlon Wilson Muffler Shroud

The shroud on the right muffler on my 1955 O-300A is in need of repair or replacement. Can anyone tell me a source of either?

Thanks,
Dale

Re: We've just past a HUGE milestone

It's been quite a trip, and the end isn't in sight! All the efforts put into it by George, Bruce and myself are greatly amplified by all the users out there and the ongoing support of The International Cessna 170 Assn.

Thank you, everybody!

Re: Iphone/Touch/Ipad - what software and hardware

Dale, or anyone else since this is a forum, why might I want to go with the Android operation system? I might be interested in a Android system if there was a unit between the size of a IPhone and an IPad. First of all, I agree completely with bagarre. Having control over the hardware makes the sof...

Re: Iphone/Touch/Ipad - what software and hardware

Navzilla Beta (free at http://www.navzilla.com/) works great for me on my Motorola Droid.

I crafted a holder that mounts on my yoke and it works well with the Droid's internal GPS.

Website down for service 4/8

On Friday, April 8th, 2011 at 10pm (EDT or GMT -4), we will begin migrations to a newly provisioned host server. There will be some downtime. We generally do not expect the downtime to exceed 15 minutes, but it is based on many variables and may (rarely) exceed a half hour. Your patience is apprecia...

I modified my 1/2" screws on the grinding wheel. They are now about 3/8" long with rounded ends. They still screw into the Tinnerman nuts just fine.
