Alvin, George has offered you some good advice. My only reservation with Narco avionics is that most shops don't work on them and they must be sent to the factory for repairs, which might not be convenient in the Phillipines.

Eric, Bela, thanks- do you raise the tail wheel off the ground to inflate ?
We don't do it with main wheels - does it matter ?

Tire Pressure- Scott tailwheel

I'd like to hear what air pressure you guys are using in your Scott talwheels- (3200- 8 inch tire / tube)
Should the tire be off the ground when inflating ? Does it matter ?
I've been using 56 psi.

Except for 5 (easly stored) there's a simple solution. Outsource it to the Chinese like we do everythng else. They'll send over a slave who will sit in the cockpit grippng the controls until you're ready to fly-

I posted the message below a few weeks ago- might be helpful- Rudy I replaced my single-puck Cleveland brakes with the large double-puck ones- Parker-Hanniffin (Cleveland) 199-62 kit works great. It's STC'd for the 180 (not the 170) but I had no trouble getting a field approval. Cost of the kit abou...

I believe the best angle of climb speed would be the same as at the best lift to drag ratio (or coefficient of lift) speed, which can be determined by finding the speed at which altitude can be maintained with the least amount of power. That speed should also be the best angle of climb speed. (Or is...

I agree- I hate sex in the movies. Tried it once. The seat folded

Not exactly a 170 topic but I'd like to share it with you guys- Last week, Curtis Pitts went West at age 89. This poem (which you may have seen before) was read at Curtis' memorial service. George, not cycling the prop prior to a first flight makes sense. But normal, conservative operation of the prop during the flight, avoding low rpm, hi MP, shouldn't hurt. Leaving the prop control (governor) full forward would mean operating at 2700 rpm for much of the flight. No harm, I guess, but ...
