While I like the concept of being able to see those gauges at night, I’m even more tickled that I think like a ‘rocket scientist’ as I keep a small headlamp wrapped on one of my post lights!

Re: Interior Light Question
George, when/if you pull the false instrument panel would you grab a few pictures of the lights and the plug in setup? Thanks!

Re: Washington Island, WI
The island is a fun place! That’s my buddies 337 in your photo. He’s got a cabin there.
A perfect place for a 170 trip. But that trip over water is always a bit unnerving for me - even if it’s short.

Miles, the fact that it wasn’t dated surprised me! Guess it must’ve been really a production job and they ran them through quickly. And 55 minutes doesn’t provide a lot of time to check too many items off the checklist either.

My first P-51 lesson (DCS)
A few weeks back before this COVID-19 lockdown hit, I had a chance to fly a buddies Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) P-51. Quite the experience and likely the only P-51 I'll ever fly! While wearing virtual reality goggles, I had to complete the start up procedure according to the book. The taxiing and...

Re: Propeller Repitch
Just curious for anyone who has repitched a prop... I understand that 1” change makes about 25 RPM difference but does a change of 2” really make a noticeable difference or does it take 4” to become recognizable?

Well done Jughead! Great video and trip report. You also do a great job announcing. Maybe Jeff will convince you to do Milaca next year as well!

Anyone else done the tail beacon install on their 170? Any issues with the fit/size? Balance issues?

Re: 2019 Cessna 170 Convention
but I do remember who won “People’s Choice” and yes, my eyes did leak when Miles announced the winner as 4583C formerly known as “The Eternal Project”. This was 27 years since I flew to my second convention and I have only missed two in all those years, so being picked for that honor was a great hi...
