Yes theres a city named Galena, west of Fairbanks on the Yukon River but there is also a company in Fairbanks called Galena Avionics thats done some radio work for me in the past. A one man operation that does great work.

C170B Franklin Conversion

I have only flown it about 4 hrs since completing it in the middle of Sept. Either the wx is crap or I have to work. So I am waiting for ski season to put it through its paces...

Whats all involved in installing a set of 175 tanks? Are they hard to find? Is there a difference between the 52 gallon 175 tanks and the 52 gal 172 tanks? Almost done with my Franklin conversion. Hopfully by the end of the month. Will give a full report with pics when done. Thanks, Brandon Leary Be...

Franklin 220 conversion and Edo 2440 floats.

I am currently installing a Franklin 220 HP conversion in my 1952 170B and purchased a set of EDO 2440 floats with 170 rigging to replace my EDO 2000's. Am wondering if there is anyone out there who has experience with this combination, especially when it comes to installing the 2440's. Any input, c...
