Re: Ideas for a yoke mounted Push to Talk
If it's a refurbish, can you move the radio? I used a Velcro mounted PTT. Not elegant, but works. I agree with gahorn, don't drill the yoke.

The 747 Dream Lifter hauls 787 fuselages from Spirit Aerosystems (formerly Boeing) to Seattle for assembly. Similar to the Super Guppy of the Saturn 5 days.

Re: New member
Waterboy, welcome! As a new person, myself, I can tell you first hand this is a very welcoming association.
Nice job of dodging the red/green question. It was a set-up; TIC170A version of hazing, I think.

Harry's Cafe - Lakeville, MN
I didn't fly here, but stopped by while on business in Lakeville. http://www.eatatharrys.com/ What first got my attention was the P-40 flying through their sign on the highway. The motif of this slightly upscale restaurant is totally aviation. Atmosphere, wait staff and food are all excellent. It's ...

Re: To buy or not to buy
I must be a lucky stiff. I bought two airplanes by looking them over and talking to the owner - a 1946 Champ and a 1947 Stinson Voyager. I might have had a mechanic do a prepurchase on the Stinson, but it was 1500 miles away. It doesn't hurt to be thourough, but if an airplane is going to burn you, ...

Re: Omaha to Camarillo, Ca route suggestions???
I bought a Stinson in Vancouver, WA and flew it back to Wichita down Oregon and California, then picked up I-40 across AZ and NM and up Hwy 54 into KS. It was May and I was concerned about late snow, so headed south. I made the trip in two days and it was a great trip. I don't know about Winslow, bu...

BEEZERBOY, do you take into account the weight of the can?
