Your right, you did say what I was saying. Except, in a system that uses head pressure as a measurement, it will have a way to read that pressure, but that is not required in a gravity system of the Cessna 170.

The bottom line is if it leaks, fix it.

Fuel valve and the "vent".

Actual, head pressure has nothing to do with it. It is all about the vent. If the tank wasn't vented, the fuel would not flow. A leak, with the fuel selector valve in the off position, indicates a vent leak caused by an "O" ring or gasket or line leak, in the system. The same is true when ...

Aircraft Identification

Just a point of correction. The aircraft identified as a Beaver is actually a Single-engine piston Otter.

You will be looking for the 8040 Seaplane prop. Twisted to around 45"/47". You will find good take off and climb performance, but cruise will be around 90 to 100 depending on the twist. It was designed for floats, but has been approved for wheels with proper blessing from the FAA. Kenmore ...

Cargo Net

CraigH- Thanks for the tip on the BedNet Cargo net. It is the best by far cargo net, I have seen for the back end of a Cessna. The stiching is excellent, and with the extra gromment holes it allows for the any size loads to be secured easly. And the price is the least of any net on the market. ($24....

BAS Tail Pulls Handles

Good Mod, no problems with installation, no corrision after 23 years. Some times they will get moisture in the tubes, which is a problem in the north when they freeze. But with a hangar it shouldn't be an issue. It will also save your back. It will also save the tail , from over zelous helpers, lift...

Certification

Hate to go down this road, but to a logical sort, AVCON (Witchia, KS) didn't have the access to water or floats and the data they had to provide (to the FAA) was for the purpose of performance or reference to: Land Plane, which is what the engine/aircraft was tested, attached to during the approval ...

It was completed with a 337, and yes in Alaska, with no restriction. Power Sonic a registred brand, try a electrionic dealer. Most Gel's will give more AMP for the same weight as lead acid. There are two out fits here that are selling gels, STC approved, with smaller battery boxes, moved or same loc...
