Bruce, It sounds like you and I have the same indications and problems with the venturi. I have one and it powers a DG and AI. I get no reading below about 85mph and somewhere around 90mph I get a reading of about 3.0 to 3.5. At 105mph to 115mph it'll get right up there into the green arc (just bare...

Kloz, I just bought a C-170A and am learning the finer points of venturi vacuum operations.
