Bruce, It sounds like you and I have the same indications and problems with the venturi. I have one and it powers a DG and AI. I get no reading below about 85mph and somewhere around 90mph I get a reading of about 3.0 to 3.5. At 105mph to 115mph it'll get right up there into the green arc (just bare...

Carl,

I do have an electric T&B indicator ... good idea. I love the cat and duck idea ... though I'm not sure they would "play" well togather in the cockpit. It might get a little messy. I guess I'll have to keep up my instrument scan. : )

There's a guy at my airport that recently converted a C175 to a tailwheel and changed to the lycoming 180 hp engine. He loves it and flys it about 4 to 6 hours per week.
