Dave,
Thank you for the photo. That is what I was afraid of. Inaccessible tinnerman nuts. Looks like I will have to remove the tanks.

Wing root fairing stripped hole repair
Over the years my wing root fairing screws have been stripped out by mechanics that have been a bit over zealous with a screw gun. Is it possible to repair the oversized holes in the bottom of the wing at the root, by securing a #8 tinnerman nut, on the inside lip of the wing, with some type of adhe...

Re: Cabin Heat and C02
I had my heatexchangers and mufflers overhauled. There are thick aluminum spacers that go around the upper exhaust inlets to the muffler. They make up the space between the muffler and heat shroud. My mechanic left them off. CO skrocketed. I fabricated new ones, bent to fit radius of muffler, instal...

Re: ADS-B Out Mandate: Options
One other comment on using ipads for displays in the cockpit. I have FlyQ and I like it. I have flown with it around the midwest. I have tried screen covers, glare screens and you name it. I have cranked the brightness up all the way. There are lighting conditions where the screen is almost impossib...

Re: Fuel Gauges
Two hours of shop time for each assembly. About $170/gauge. The entire brass assembly and gears were cleaned. The float was sealed, I am not sure of the coating he used. You can call Marke and ask him. The face and bezel were cleaned. The dial was repainted as was the frame. Dial white and frame fla...

Re: wing fuel drain threads stripped!
Barry,
How did you resolve this? I have the same problem. I am thinking about machining a new drain tube with the same O.D. and I.D. and having it welded on to the tank by a certified aerospace welding shop. The other option is helicoil, which I would try first. I think a Viton O-ring would seal it.

Re: re assemble wing and strut 52 170B
Well, quite a response. Thank you. I take it that the neutral position for the eccentric is to have the thickest part inboard. Such that if one were viewing the eccentric on the port side, looking aft,my he thick part would be at 270 degrees. The opposite would then be true on the starboard side.

Eccentric Bushing Starting Position
The wing is on port side. Eccentric bushing turned so the thick side is up. Does anyone have a reference for the starting position of the eccentric bushings? I review some the of the posts but no one referenced a starting postion. My port wing was repaired many years ago. I have not idea if it was j...

re assemble wing and strut 52 170B
George and Bruce,
I am re attaching my port wing. I have new hardware. Cannot find any reference to torque specification for these bolts. I can use a general reference but are there documents on the site that call out these torque values? and how do I search for them?
