Re: Hello from Boston

Hi Christine I keep my 170B at Plymouth MA. You can also contact Alpha1 at PYM and speak to Jon Greenlaw. They have a Citabria that they rent and Jon can check you out in a 170 like he did for me. I bought mine from a gentleman from Maine. We agreed on a price and then I told him he would have to de...

Re: Original aircraft color

I do not have the trim data plate. The trim around the black panel is an odd lime green. That is the glove box and around the plastic part around the switches. This plastic around the switches is a maroon color. The green looks 1954. The plackard on the glove box is no longer readable. Thanks Dick B...

Original aircraft color

Hi All
Does Cessna or anyone have the original airplane color data? I am just curious as to the original color of my 54 170B.
Serial 26248.

Thanks

3 point seat belts

Hi All
Has anyone installed Alpha Aviation diagonal 3 point seat belts in a 170? Any pros or cons? I was looking at the inertia reel type. I have the Y type shoulder harness without the inertia reel and I have to leave mine loose enough to reach the flap handle.

Re: WACO trip from Battle Creek MI (AZO) to Chatham MA

Hi Kyle
Stop at Plymouth on the way home. WE have a restaurant. One on the field and one across the street at the golf course.
How is the restaurant coming at Chattham?

Interior green

Hi All
The interior of my 54 170B is a soft, flat green. The lower panel and around the door openings and the fuel selector valve. It needs some touching up and I need to know the color and code if possible.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Master solenoid

Hi All
Does anyone know where I may find the plastic cover to my solenoid/contactor mounted on the battery box? The plastic cover is junk but the solenoid works fine.

Re: This is why I own my 170!

It was -3 this morning at Plymouth MA. Snow banks 8 feet high and my 170 is in a heated hanger for its annual. I may have to move to CA.

I guess I was too busy looking outside to notice the light. The horn works though.

Re: Wheel Pant Hardware/Parts Sources

Hi All
I am also going to put my wheelpants on in the spring. I have one backplate with nutplates and one with Tinnerman nuts. That's ok with me but I cannot find the axel nuts for wheelpants. I did find them for $350 ea. but I will keep searching.

Re: Negotiating a sale - setting a value

And I went through the same thing before I bought 2704C from Charley in September this year. I was torn between flying all over the country or looking local. Lucky for me Maine is only a 3 hour drive. I have met Greg in Plymouth and now I have got to get down to Chattham on Cape Cod to meet Kyle. I ...
