Pitot tube drain hole
I had constant problems with water in the pitot-static system. The airplane is tied down outside so I decided to plug up all the openings. I put tape over the static port and on the front of the pitot tube and plastic plugs on the front of both venturis. That solved the problem. Pete

Avemco quoted $1125. to renew coverage for my 56 170B. The hull is insured for $45,000. I called AIG and was quoted $1020 but for a max value of $38,000 pending a convoluted assesment procedure for any coverage over that amount. I'm 62,retired airline,20,000TT,500 170 time,no claims. AIG did not see...
