If you expect you may run into AAA HEI rounds, I highly recommend it.

For an emergency get-me-down backup, it's hard to beat the Dynon D2. It's half the price, or better, and portable.

I think you need to hang on to the yoke differently. I had this discussion with a friend of mine who didn't like the "old fashioned" control yoke but wanted to change to "new" open U control yokes. I fly by laying my left wrist on top of the yoke and grasping the top of the loop...
