Mike, one of my first maintenance issues with 1304D was exactly what you have experienced with your tailwheel assembly, we replaced complete mailspring assembly pack, rebuilt 3200 assembly & replaced with new 6 ply tailwheel tire. Flew it 40 hrs but was bugged by the tweak in the fork, ended up ...

Installed 3 blade MT four months ago, results are exactly as DaveF & fishdoc state, am very pleased with it, it is very responsive & have learned to be smoother & slower when adding power during departure . At idle the prop has a very different but cool sound as it slaps the air !

Oklahotshot, so what fuel flow do you get out of your O-360 say at sea level and 4500ft. And what prop do you use ? I run a Sensenich prop fixed pitch at 60 ins of pitch . No big tires yet or the Oskosh adventure but definitely in the cards, discovered today there was only three pounds difference in props and the ol bird seems alil heavy, am hesitant to say anymore till I have paperwork complete & in front of me, know this crowd will educate me :wink:

Agree with everyone , we will use certified scales & have real numbers to see where CG limits are at before & after prop swap, it does have the 0 - 360 conversion, Masa STOL, heavily modified, etc ( thanks to Marvin Nichols tlc thru the years ) wanting to get rid of 100hr AD & rpm limita...

Am installing MT three blade prop , 26 lbs lighter than existing Hartzell, IA is talking of adding weight up front ,,, im hoping we can remove weight from tail section, it does have auxiliary javelin tank under backseat, wondering what some of you more knowledgeable folks input would advise, project...
