Just a note about flying the C170A, I agree with the counter balance elevator, as it makes less work for the pilot on landing. But on the other hand I fly with a friend who has a C170B and I land my 'A' where ever he does, so my point is you have to get to know the airplane and I believe the 'A' mod...
