Re: IFR Guidance Requested
I can put in my thoughts. Getting an Instrument Rating is another stepping stone to increase your Aviation knowledge, so good for you to pursue that. For me when I got my instrument rating, I realized that I would not stay proficient and to do it just every now and then was not a wise choice. So I n...

I know we all have our options, I have tried everything that was mentioned and more. Then 20 years ago I tried JB-80.
It has no equal!

Re: Failure to draw from right fuel tank
Every time that I have heard this complaint, it has been the ball not centered. Fly it normally and look at the ball. If it is even a quarter ball one way , push rudder and make it half ball the other way. Fly for awhile and see if problem goes away. Every time. Andrew

Jim , we have never met , but I understand your pain. I will pray for you. I lost my dad a few years ago , he was my flying mentor. We shared stories and flew acro together. His death was an unexpected heart failure and shocked me to lose him so fast. My flying for fun went away. But then I realized...

Re: Rear seat back support
Gary, thanks for the help. Yes, the nut-plate attachments are still there in my '56. At this point, now that my memory has been refreshed with pictures, my son and I will somehow "produce" what we need. We might forego the hat shelf. And as far as getting wacked in the head during the cras...

Re: Rear seat back support
Thank you guys, that helps. Both my planes are a mixture of old and new. A 52 and 56 model. Neither has had a back seat for years.

Rear seat back support
Can anyone take a picture of the bar bracket that the rear seat back hooks to?
My 170B has not had a back seat installed for many years. Looks like that part is lost. I can not even find it in the Cessna IPC. My son wants to fabricate one and I told him we need to see one first. Andrew

Floats that look just like EDO's
I know this isn't a 170 question , but I am trying to help a friend....... Is there an STC that allows CAP 2000 floats on a PA-18 ? He got the Cub from Canada and it was approved there. The Super Cub group is not very helpful on this one. I am sure there are PA-18 on CAP floats here in USA. Do any o...
