Putting UHMW on skis.
Well skis season is rapidly approaching here in interior Alaska, and it time to drag out the two sheets of UHMW and figure the best way to attach it to the bottom of my skis. I have Landis Airglass 2500 skis and they were barely used when I got them with the air plane. After putting a hundred or so ...

Anyone herd of two gear boxes in the '56' 182/172
I was talking to a friend who owns a 180 and he said in 56 when they started building the 182 cessna built them with both gear boxes thinking if the nose dragger concept didn't catch on then they could be quickly converted back to the conventional gear. He said he had a friend with a 182 that had bo...

Ya, Pete send me an email with a pic of your front cowl i'll send you one of the cowl I have. As far as the rest of you, I was the second son so pretty safe. Any way if the old man had traded us away he would of had to pack a lot of moose, cut fire wood, and build a house by him self. Of course had ...

The lower alpha numeric is probaly casting info. I think. I stumped the local cessna dealer or at least over the phone I'm gona dr...

Axle ID??
I bought a 170 that came with a box of spare parts, of which was a bunch of axles, of corse no two were alike. All have been identified except one which i thought was a stock hollow aluminum axle. Except the part number stamped on the axle does not match any cessna numbers that I have found. Some nu...

Borer prop?
I'm looking into a climb prop. I see a lot of the Alaskans talk highly of the McCauley 8043. Is this the 1A175DM? I've talked with a few folks at some of the dealer and there dosen't seem to be a 43 there is a 8042 is this what people are buying and repitch to 43 or am missing something? I have also...
