Re: Original Cessna logbooks

I just came upon this thread. I acquired N21023 a 1954 170B in 2018. It had been sold originally to an airport in Minot ND registered as N1992C then about 10 years later left the states for Canada. Mr Worley had signed off all the original logbooks of my aircraft.. I found his obituary and it was en...

Re: Stoopid is as Stoopid does

Yup. You can only do stuff like that if the FAA says you can! Beede jet thru the hangar?? Guess that wasn’t stoopid
Did she hurt any one? Nope! Was it stoopid or give other people idea? Probably, but the penalty was way out of bounds as far as I was concerned! Nuff said!

Re: AV-30c

I have installed two AV-30’s . The temp probe was put about 2 1/2 ft outboard of fuselage on left wing on an inspection plate. If I remember correctly the installation manual said it should be at 2 ft out from fuselage but don’t quote me on that. Tried to attach some photos but it said the file was ...

The Helioport cafe at the Andalusia airport, South Alabama RGNL at Bill Benton Field (79J) is a good lunch. If you fill up with fuel your lunch is on a donation basis. They also have some of the most reasonable self serve 100LL. Just ask for the cafe golf cart to take you to the cafe on the north si...

Having grown up in the 60’s and 70’s and learn to fly on “ grass surfaces” then joining the Navy, I liked the innuendo.

I called Textron warranty department 9/20/2019 and talked to a 40 employee by the name of Carol Ann Henderson 316-517-3295. I was told the part needs to be order thru an Aircraft Service Facility (ASF). I was told the part for the pilot seat was provided by Textron. Installation labor man hours show...

Re: Angle of Attack Instrumentation

Hi, My $0.02. I first used AOA during Navy flight school. Very effective coming aboard a ship. I have seen hand made AOA devices. One was on a Cessna 140 that flew mission flights in South America. I will try to find a picture when I have time. I purchased a preorder for the Aerovonics new electric ...

Re: New Owner!

Hi, Just wanted to also let you know I’m a new owner of a slow red and white 1954 C170B built in 1953! I have wanted a C170 for awhile since my 1947 C-140 was getting harder and harder to get into! This is the same 140 I soloed in 1966 on my 16th birthday. I purchased the 170 from a gentleman in Ohi...
