Same here. I sent Dale a PM on the subject, but said no one else had reported the problem. Maybe you folks could send him a PM and let him know that several of us are having the same problem.

That would be me..... I agree that the SRAM has a lot of questionable info, but it;s the only place I could find an Annual Inspection Checklist. If anyone else has one, please post it in the 'MX Library'. I think I'll keep looking....

I got mine from A/C Spruce (pg. 183 p/n 06-15100 - $54.25). You can also get them from Univair (pg. 13 p/n U0542106 $51.52 according to my 2000 price list). Actually, the one from A/c Spruce has a Univair PMA sticker on it - go figure... they buy from Univair and resell it.

If anyone ever makes their way to New England around holiday time drop me a line and we'll go get you some :D

FWIW, AVweb has an article on hangers this week - it's a reprint from Aviation Consumer March 2001. Food for thought....

djbaker, just noticed you are in MA. I'm based at Mansfield (1b9). If you are interested we could hook up and I could show you the Monarch shield installation on my '52. I'm very happy with them.

And what's wrong with Yankee stuffing??? After all, this is where it all started! :D Two things are vital for Thanksgiving... A good dark beer (porter or stout) with which to baste the turkey and a traditional bread stuffing. I'm talking made from scratch, none of this Stove Top stuff that looks lik...

Most likely. The belt driven vacuum pump sits in the same plane (no pun intended :P ) as the front of the cowling, so an unmodified cowling would prohibit the installation of the pump. I've seen several where they have replaced the nose bowl with a '60's (I think) C172 nose bowl - the one with the s...

Help yourself Joe :D Embellish all you want. It's one of those things that you can get a lot of mileage out of when you thouw in some pseudo-technical mumbo-jumbo. The kid going for his A&P was a riot. He'd wander around the shop talking to the other mechanics.... "Hey, did you know that gu...
