Doing some long range planning for our '48 170 and thinking about adding the additional 12 gal fuel tank. Anyone able to get me started in the right direction?

Does the outboard fuel tank on the right wing have a fuel drain that is plugged and not used? If so, have any of you lucky '48 owners installed a drain in the outboard tank?
