Re: New Tailwheel Leaf Springs too thick
Once I was aware of the issue, I gave my IA the option to use just the main leaf from the set, but he has already managed to get the new spring set to fit.

Re: New Tailwheel Leaf Springs too thick
The issue still exists, the spring set I purchased from Univair last month (March 2021) would not fit. My Ap/IA spend a lot of time dealing with it.

BAS seatbelts
Cessna 170 gang,
On my list is BAS shoulder harness, anyone with experience with these believe that the Rotary buckle option is worth an extra $700? Thanks in advance.
Happy flying,

Re: Cessna 170 selling prices (split topic)
I am thankful I purchased my 170 last year or I could not afford to buy one today. I was concerned I was paying too much for my 1955 170 with an engine over TBO and no Adsb for 31K. Today I seen this on Barnstormers. Not sure if I am living in the passed or this is a typo or pipe dream. 1951 CESSNA ...

Re: Cessna 170 selling prices (split topic)
FYI, Barnstormers has only two flyable 170's listed both over 90K. Tradeaplane has two one for 95K and one for 54K. Not sure what to think about my plan to fly my 1955 B model as is, then sell it and buy another 170 with the Mods I want later. Normally this would be cheaper, since an 180HP mod can c...

Re: Knots 2 U
Thanks for the responses, I guess that Vertical is joking. I am more interested in better climb performance. Other than a pilot diet I think that for $600 that might be the cheapest mod out there, if it really does give another 100 -150 FPM climb.

Knots 2 U
Hi 170 Folks, I have read everything on the site I can find regarding 170B performance mods. Knots 2U sells a flap gap seal kit for $600 and claims it take about 7 hours to install. They also claim 100-150 FPM rate of climb increase. If this is true it seem like a lot of bang for the buck. Does anyo...

Bushliner fueling handles
Hey 170 folks,
Any thoughts on these handles? Does a 170B have lifting eyes?
