To remove the trim tab control wheel, the three rivets indicated in the attached photo can be drilled out and later replaced. But if anyone has done this, did anyone find that it made more sense to use bolts and locknuts to later secure it, much like the right side? Or for that matter, did anyone en...

Thank you for the pointer on that! Here's the result of that phone call, and I might add that this guy was amazingly helpful and super willing to dig into it to figure it out. He went to the 1956-62 172/175 parts catalog and found part S338-7 as 29-18, which led to part S339-2 also listed as 29-18. ...

Thankful for the information here. Knowing 0412006 translates to S338-7 allowed them to be found and ordered. Really curious if anyone else ran into this mental curveball. Knowing from the parts catalog that 0412006 is a fairlead, then this would imply that one fairlead is two halves plus the retain...
