Hello
I have a 1948 170 with metalized wings. Is there an stc for this or a kit? My log books dont go back to cover the change so i was wondering how it came to be

Sorry for the late reply however thank you for the info and i did ask ine of the fellows with the valve removed and it was to eliminate the fuel pump. Im good

Here is an update on my project. We removed the forward floorboard, removed a few rivets from the seat rails and those holding the aft sections of the flap tube. removed all the rivets from the top gear box sheeting and slid the gear box cover back until the entire gear box is exposed. Can anyone recommend a replacement gascolator for a 48 170? I have 2 of the originals and both have damage. I saw the Steve’s but nothing seems to be approved for a 170. The have the A and B’s covered

I don’t think I explained my question totally. I’m referring to the the three stop blocks on cable. Where are they correctly placed and spaced. Mine where laying loose in the bottom of the fuselage.

I have nothing there, however, I now have this drawing and can get me one. Thank you for the help. I'll send you pictures of my progress to date, as soon as I finish the fuselage repairs im going to the tail feather then wings.
