When I first got 2604D in Feb of 2003 it had quite abit of vibration according to our AI here and the FBO gent. We flipped it 180 and it took about half the vibration out. Still not satisfied we sent it to a prop shop in Troutdale, OR and they called us back up and said that this prop was no good an...

Spiro, Glad to hear someone else is getting a fuel burn of less than 7-gals/hr..I was beginning to think my tack was off. I have a 7551 Prop and cruise most often at 2450 rpm at 5K - 9K here in NE Oregon and lean at all altitudes and takeoff (we're at 4K at our airport). I have put 190 hours on 2604...

Joe, I'm going into Minam and tent camp and get my meals at the lodge with Shawn & Shelly. I was in there yesterday and I'm putting a few photos together of Minam Lodge's strip so the fellows can see it. Minam's strip is in good shape and the volunteers at Red's told me that they were going to m...

This being my first shot at a fly-in, I didn't have anything formally planned as a function, but what I was going to do was get three meals a day at Minam Logde f...

N1277D, Glad to hear that you might make it to Red's, it is amazing how things so close to us are usually the least used by us...I think that after we get this first fly-in off the ground, we may have to consider making it an annual event....Thanks for your interest....We'll keep our fingers crossed...

Miles, I've only been to Johnson Creek via their webcam, so I can't compare the two strips...I'll email you you a few photos that might give you a better idea rather than me trying to describle it....I'll be going into Red's in a few days and hopefully the USFS will have their RAWS portable weather ...

Dave, I think those coming to Red's will truely enjoy the setting and we hope to see you there...but as I hope I've gotten accross to everyone in my past posts regarding Red's, it's a backcountry strip that takes the appropriate skills and knowledge of mountain flying. I'm saying this as I don't kno...

That's a great picture of Red's Jim. On your approach to Red's you fly over Minam Lodge's strip which is just down river a very short distance on the photos left. If anyone would like, I can email you several photos of the strip at Red's, just PM me and I'll get em to you.

Well, I've done my homework and just wanted to get back to those who might be interested in coming to Red's Horse Ranch/Minam Lodge for a 170 Fly-in this summer...
