Now we have the dehavilland Rapide, a Cessna 170 mentioned in book text with picture of a Cessna 180. Three airplanes. Poor Er...

Hemingway Air incident Africa
I have heard tidbits about Ernest Hemingway 's having an incident in a Cessna170 .
I wonder what the complete story entailed. Happened in Africa in 1954.
Any historians among us?

Is there a limiting factor?

Would you be willing to share a sketch drawing and parts list to allow others to build their own unit?
Your offer is so generous, but loaning tools has a raft of potential problems.

Sandy Hurricane Airports Small Aircraft
Is this really happening? Surreal. I hope the Cessna 170's and all other exposed aircraft have left the area. Like, I hope they left yesterday, this is the 11th hour as I write. Forecaster's at Hurricane Center Miami seem a little stunned. I am concerned about the big picture but with a special litt...

Re: 170 B with less than 1300 hours TTAF
There may be more value in this aircraft than it appears. I sometimes eat at an Applebees restaurant in St Louis that has aviation artifacts hanging on the wall for ambiance/decoration. My favorite table has 170 doors hanging on the wall. I spoke to the manager about removing the door temporary sinc...
