Re: IOWA'S 170

What am I seeing? Looks like a custom padded glare shield with two (2) hand holds pilot & Co Pilot/ passenger

The float mag compass appears to be permanently affixed to the glare shield.

Is this what I am seeing?

Very Valuable shield. Very

What is the Interior Size of GLOVEBOX C170b

I am not near the aircraft/Hanger right now.

Perhaps some one remembers the glove box dimensions.

Can I stuff a 11-3/4" long document in Glovebox?

Re: Cont O-300 bearings

Were these bearings ever used in a non aviation application?

Look closely.

We are flying 1930's technology.

Why can't we pick up phone and order a new 0-300 engine. Yeah 35,000 $ would work

BAS Tail Pull Handles -missing documents

I had the BAS Tail Pull Handles after observing a field installation at Petit Jean fly in 2010. Love the handles, if you own a C170 why do you not have them installed? My current dilemma is I cannot locate any paper work involving my installation. The A P IA who did a very good job of the install di...

Re: ADSB rebate reservations are used up??

Many pilots may be thinking that FAA may make a last minute extension - Add 1 more Year?

New product introduction with steep Lower Price - expectations

A lot of federal employees have very clean desks - sign of little activity.

JUST wait and see

Re: How Do You Wash your 170?

Now I would like to purchase a Gallon of WashWax ALL - Auto Stores have no knowledge of item. See it advertised on on AMAZON - I am willing to pay 8-10.00 for Freight - it is just that Amazon will no longer let me purchase with PAYPAL - I prefer to use Paypal because my CR CRD info is safer. I just ...

Re: Reasons for weak generator

We are contending with circuitry of a 65 year old machine. As you are experiencing you may end up throwing money at supposed "solution" and you don't really receive the fix you want. Try this five dollar solution. 1950's ground was one simple ground strap. First test - R Front of engine th...

Re: I'm a Pilot...

I really really enjoyed the Smothers brothers.

People are very accommodating to pilots.

They go out of their way to help GA pilots.

I know you have stories. Sometimes we call it "hanger flying".

Made me very nervous Helicopter pulls up next to Electrical Transmission Tower line -- Daringly he steps out of copter and onto the Small Skid, I do not pretend to know technicalities of his job. This is loud and approx 70 Feet in the Air. For over ninety four years these Electric lattice towers hav...
