Re: Cylinder for C-145 (O-300)
A little different cylinder question. My O-300 has 440 TSMO, but it sat for a number of years without being flown. All the cylinders show cylinder wall pitting. The valves look good, including the exhaust. Runs smooth. Burns a quart about every 8 hours. No leaks. The oil analysis reports are all nor...

AVCON Conversion
Can any of you help? I have the AVCON Conversion to the Lyc. 0-360 for my 170. The problem is I can't find the name and number of the guy / shop that is still supporting the STC. I think it's in Porterville. If any of you have the info please post it for me. Thanks in advance. Glynn.

Red Horse Ranch Fly In
I am also keen on the idea of a trip to Red Horse. I'll watch the posts for updates & details and how many might attend.
Maybe some of us from the central CA area (I'm in Salinas) could hook up and fly together.
Glynn.

Fuel Scan
Mine has been in use for 2 years now and it has become as useful & important to me as GPS. Don't confuse useful & important as total dependence, BUT...remember when you first tried Loran & then GPS. They've made our flying safer & simpler by verifying what our flight plan says should...

You're right - The sound is really different - Cool. The prop and spinner are around $7900.00 to $8500.00 (depending on who you call). It's a beautiful installation with the polished spinner. I'm not sure what Gold Coast Aviation will want for use of the STC, contact Larry for that info. The Prop we...

3 Blade Propeller - 170 A & B
I've just completed the installation of a McCalley Symitar, 3 blade propeller on my 1952 170 B. The engine is an O-360 A1A Lyc. with 180 HP. The performance figures are still being monitored but I can see an increase in climb performance right away. No real measurable increase in cruise has yet to b...
