I can't remember off hand, probably less than a foot. Just enough to keep the throttle cable away from the control "T" slightly.

Re: Throttle Cable Interference

Sorry for the thread resurrection. I’m finally getting around to installing a glovebox back in 56D and would like some more information on the 0413116-5 bracket that Bruce mentioned above. It seems like an easy enough part to fabricate…just some dimensions and I’ll be good to go. Can anyone help? T...

Re: Battery Options/Opinions

Wag Aero had a Concorde RG-25XC actually in stock and a lower price than other sites so I ordered one. If we hadn’t just gotten snow this week, IFR ceilings today, and more snow forecast this weekend I could have flown to their store it pick it up, but I guess I’ll probably save some money by just ...

Re: Landing Gear Clunk/Lifting Plane

fuselage-stand-web.jpg Here is a picture of the fuselage stand that I built. As you can see it just fits under the fuselage when it is all the way down and has 19 inches of travel up, with several pinning holes in the inner square tubing to adjust for desired height. As per Wingnut's advise I welde...

Re: Brake Stuck On?

Sidewall contact ? Those were my thoughts also, especially when it just started after the tire change. Different tire brands have different profiles. Are they 800's? When I went from 700's to 800's I had to make a spacer disc to go between the brake disc and the inner wheel half to keep the caliper...

I replaced the handles on my '53 (serial # 25462) from a company in Portland, Oregon named "Chevs of the 40's". I can't remember what model or year they were from they but were a fairly good fit.

Re: New products for windscreens

I have been using Lemon Pledge on my windscreen for 33 years and it still looks brand new. Spray it on to cover entire windscreen and clean with a super soft rag, I usually use an old T-shirt that is of the soft variety. Stubborn bug stains may need the help of a finger nail gently...

Gear leg fillet

Not that it would be hard to make one, but I was curious if anyone knew of a source for the rubber landing gear "fillet" (P/N 0511125) that seals off the gear leg where it exits the fuselage? TIA!

Re: Carb Heat box

Check with Fresno Airparts. I purchased a new one two years ago. They sill list this part but it is expensive. Current price is now $1275. It was $300 less when I bought mine. Look on page 15 of the section for C-145 engines. These are difficult to find in decent shape on the used market. You can a...
