Re: Exhaust Risers too long??
Thanks, I talked to the builder of the risers and they are going to build new risers custom to my exhaust. Very stand up and easy to rectify the situation.

Exhaust Risers too long??
Hey y'all, I'm clipping away on this motor. I got the risers ordered but, it looks as though they're too long. Is it possible I ordered the wrong length? I ordered the P/N's I found. Thoughts?

Re: Exhaust "headers" needed
Yeah, they made it right after a few emails. But, long short of it was they rebuilt my mount to a later model 170/172 therefore wider. Thanks for correcting me I knew they had another name, I just couldn’t place it.

Re: Exhaust "headers" needed
Bruce, Thanks for the reply! They show for the 170 A/B and 172 I assume it applies to the straight 170. AWI already made a mistake on my motor mount so, I have lost a little confidence in them.
Thanks
Thanks

Exhaust "headers" needed
So, I'm installing a new to me O300 in my '48 170. I rounded up all the fuel pump parts thanks to some much needed pictures provided by a 170 member. The "new" motor didn't come with the exhaust system including the "headers" that bolts to the cylinder head. I had my exhaust syst...

Ragwing fuel pump / check valve
So, I have a 1948 Cessna 170. Due to a laundry list of circumstances, I am installing a newly acquired motor. I have my original fuel pump but, I have researched the forums and realize that I'm missing the check valve. I believe it was on the pump when I removed it to be overhauled but, now it's mis...

Thanks for the info, I'll look into the options. I guess the sticker shock is just going to have to rub off.

Magneto replacement ideas?
Hello all, I have a 1948 C170. I currently have the motor off for overhaul. The Bendix mags are shot and they're very corroded in the bearing area, he thinks I may lose the core money as well. We were quoted 2,604.20 + $500 core charge for slick mags. I was hoping someone might have a better / less ...

Motor mount help??
Hello All, I have a rag wing 170. I'm currently having the engine (c-145/o-330) rebuilt. I also decided now would be a good time to have the engine mount gone through at Aerospace Welding in Minneapolis. Anyway, they called today and asked if I could measure the distance from center to center of the...

Re: Battery stuck in box, suggestions....
I believe the heat gun and spatula will be used for the next step in removal. My wife may frown upon the use of her tools in the hangar so, I may be inclined to buy some tools of my own at Walmart. I never miss an opportunity to buy new tools
