The data plate is hard to read in the photo but Part No = 164 Serial No = 45371 Safe Flight Instrument Corporation White Plains New York.

Re: Cowl plugs
I got mine from Bruce's Custom Covers for a 1954 170B. Their website https://aircraftcovers.com/170 shows plugs for B Model (4 or 5 plugs) and/or carb inlet.
They may do custom as well for the A Model.

Re: A new 170B owner!
Welcome also!
We have our 1954 170B at MMK and our son is about to take his CFI check ride in it. The runway is fully repaired and in great condition.
Enjoy the new aircraft!

Re: 1954 Interior trim paint
Our '54 (yes it is actually a 1954) is also the Trooper Tan interior paint. Does the number below the paint mean anything (E23-9691)? Or only to Cessna at the time? I notice the colors described as "Polar Blue" and "Westport Red" in the brochure, but "Deep Blue" and &qu...

Re: Wheel Fairing Trim
So I did receive a response from Hardison Metal Shaping referenced by Gary above, very beautiful polished wheel pants $8460 for the set. Certification and installation not included.
Hard to justify but sure look nice!

For the few interested in this topic I actually reached out to Hardison but no reply.
Textron provided the following quote on 2 sets of wheel fairing trim:
Let me know if anyone wants in...
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Wheel Fairing Trim
Ryan,
Thanks for that info. If you end up with leftover trim from your old ones let me know...
Gary,
Thanks for all the details and that website...maybe he can make a whole set of "Cessna 180" wheel pants.

Re: Wheel Fairing Trim
For anyone interested I have found the part numbers and associated drawings from Cessna Parts Support: Upper longer trim piece: 0441143-6 Lower shorter trim piece: 0441143-14 Not surprisingly not in stock. Just for fun I will try to get a quote for producing these parts. image002.png Thanks, Bob

Re: Wheel Fairing Trim
Gary, Thank you, mine has the narrower 2 piece strip. In my search I found the -14 part number on the Cessna Parts website, listed as a "strip", although I don't see it in the IPC. The brazing video is great, although I guarantee I will never learn to do that work. Assuming Cessna doesn't ...

Re: Wheel Fairing Trim
And while I am at it, the existing trim is a flat/angled shape. In the IPC it appears to be rounded, so I am wondering if what I have is original.
Thanks,
Bob

Wheel Fairing Trim
Hi Folks,
Trying to restore a set of wheel fairings and one side is missing the 5/8" aluminum trim down the center. There does not appear to be a part number(s) in the IPC...any ideas on a source for this?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Interior Light Question
Tagging onto an old thread, looking for a replacement for the dome light cover '54 170B IPC Part Number 0710101-1. Mine is plastic and looks like this: Screenshot_20220802-173359_Photos~2.jpg A search of the part number turns up this which looks the same but is listed for a 180 through 182A and lack...
