Re: Rudder pedal covers
I have templates for two piece ones, cuz the one piece is a PITA to remove. I just don't know how to use CAD to make it into something I can send out to get made. Based on the 2 piece ones for the 180 that Bushliner makes.

Re: Solder for copper primer lines
I just fixed a primer line last week during annual. cleaned the line with sandpaper, flux, slid the piece into place, hit with mapp gas torch, silver solder. done. not rocket surgery here, just silver. metallurgy is neat!

Silver all the way, 56% or whatever. Otherwise it won’t stick.

Re: First annual almost wrapped up
It might be called out in the blueprints but full install paperwork I don’t have. I could check the parts manual for a Mooney, it would be the same. I’m at work, get back into the hangar next couple days.

Re: First annual almost wrapped up
I’ll have to dig. Can’t remember where I dug it up in the past. Plenty of planes with AL on them they were totally fine. It’s just than between movement of the motor and resistance of the fuel line there can cause the AL fitting to work harden over time. I’ll go see if I can find it, lotta backlog t...

Re: First annual almost wrapped up
Spruce. It’s a KS4 bearing, on their site as KSP4. MS number is 27645
To be clear it’s not a rod end bearing but a bearing pressed into the elevator horn under the LH horizontal stab where pushrod exits the fuselage.

Re: Flap Track Replacement
Hopefully my mechanic I work with will be fine splitting the skin so as to not remove the whole flap well skin then. Won’t know about the z brackets until we get in there so hopefully good and won’t have to wait on more parts. Thanks for the info. Will keep this thread updated as we get into it.

Re: Flap Track Replacement
Any updates or pics on how it went? Mine is in annual now and the LH outboard track failed the no go gauge. Tracks and rollers ordered from McFarlane. Got all the paperwork to study. Seems straightforward enough, just time consuming. Is that the consensus?
Cheers
