Re: Part number(s) and source for:

Thanks, guys. As usual, you guys are a wealth of knowledge.

Just one other question: I am on my way to the auto parts store, is there a certain thickness for the rubberized cork material?

And, Bruce, thanks for the templates.

Re: What are YOU scared of?

I remember quite a few years ago seeing on the news a video of a H-500 near San Diego, attaching "balls" to a High-Tension line. The guy was hanging out the side, the 500 would slide up to the wire, then the operator would attach the ball. In the video, the 500 hits the wire, and goes down...

Baltimore area

I need to fly out of Baltimore (BWI) on buisness on June 15, returning on June 20. I need to tie down my C-170 for the week somewhere nearby and get over to BWI.

Any suggestions?

Re: Just have to share...

What is your San Antonio schedule? I'm only an hour north of there (driving) :20 min flying. I'll put some meat on the fire, if our schedules coincide! I'll be San Anonio the weeks of 6/16 and 6/23. I generally arrive Sunday Evening and leave Friday Evenings. While perusing their website I came acr...

Re: Just have to share...

That's very cool 8) Looks like a stick and rudder machine. Surprisingly so. I was surprised how small the flight deck really is. Not much bigger than a 737. I'm real curious about what kind of work you were doing there? Bill I teach CAD/CAE and Product Data Managment. I work with all kinds of indus...

Just have to share...

Last week, I was working at NASA-KSC and was very, very fortunate to get an up-close and personal tour of Pad 39B, the VAB and all three OPF's (Orbiter Processing Facility), where all three shuttles were at the time. At the end, I got to go in shuttle "Atlantis" This is a picture of me in ...

Re: OT: Abbey and Meredith

I really, really hate to be a stick-in-the-mud, but I get quite enough of this type of "stuff" in my e-mails each day. Please don't post this "stuff" here. (And, yes, I am using "stuff" in an attempt to be at least little polite) Aw, come on. It's one thing when gobs o...

Re: KINT?

I would love to ride around town on something like a Vespa... only problem is the culture of this part of Texas seems to require 16 year olds to get a Ford 3500 series diesel dually for their first car. I take classes at the local junior college (not A&M for you UT types), the parking lot is fu...

Re: KINT?

This is a rather interesting thread. However, I live in California and haven't the faintest where in hell KINT is. And to be honest, the members dilemna does not worry me enough to find a source and determine where KINT is. What is the objection to using the airport name for all the members who do ...

KINT?

I've got a buisness trip to a company that is based at KINT. I thought that this would be an ideal excuse to fly my C-170 down. But, after checking AirNav.com and the AOPA website, I'm not so sure... the only FBO seems to be Landmark Aviation, and the majority of the reviews are negative (high fuel ...

The ones I have now are some funky-arsed ones. Not even close to original. My guess is they are "home-builder" yokes. I'd love to go back to originals, are they even available?
