When doing a 100hrly or every 12 months why not push on the bleed nipple a piece of clear plastic tubing about 2 ft long and bleed the brakes a half a dozen pumps and also fill the brake reservoir . My international shipping guru told me that aircraft parts have no duty. Made in USA or not. The spruce for my Falco came in from Alberta under that designation.

You can start with a 1 1/2" Delrin ball from McMaster-Carr p/n 9614K39 $3.53 each. Just needs a 3/4 inch hole drilled through the middle. Owner produced part.

Was it threatening to do that before the overhaul as well? If not, what changed?

It's a real attention grabber when one of those big doors pops open and starts flapping 200 feet over the departure end. An experience best avoided.
