Re: Not looking forward to this repair (Fuel Vent Hose)

The deed is done, it wasn't any fun and its a good thing I decided to replace all 4. It still beat working on a front wheel drive car!!! Plus I was able to shed the intercom speaker, not much weight but it counts!! Here is a pic of the two old center tube lines.. Now to button everything back up!! I...

Re: Baggage door w/aux tank?

Thanks Ed,I'm along ways from any project like that, but I might start collecting parts if I come across a good door. In the short time I've been playing with mine I can see how convenient and valuable a baggage door would be.

Baggage door w/aux tank?

Is the baggage door mod possible with a javelin aux tank installed?

Re: Not looking forward to this repair (Fuel Vent Hose)

Just for future reference, on check out there was a box to check to receive certification paperwork with select items. Is that some thing I should be getting? Being what it is I didn't think it was worth the cost. But it would be nice to know typical ground rules on such dealings with parts.

That's a good idea with the grommets, I'm not sure what the other lines are.

Re: Not looking forward to this repair (Fuel Vent Hose)

I ordered enought stuff to do all 4, it may very well be worth changing all of them while I'm at it.

Not looking forward to this repair (Fuel Vent Hose)

Smell of gas in the cabin, my mechanic gave me a couple of locations to look at. Found the problem, and have the correct replacement line on the way. Sure does look like a pain!! Mechanic will be on hand, but any tips from those who have done this would be very helpful!!
Thanks

Re: Fuel Tabs (Gallons Left)

About 1/2 of 20gals or 18.5? That's only a .75 gallon difference between the two so it would be safe to assume 9 usable gallons left at tabs?

Fuel Tabs (Gallons Left)

How many gallons are left when fuel level is at the tabs. During preflight today I peerer into tanks and both were just above the tab or divider, or baffle what ever it might be. Just wondering if anyone might have taken the time to measure this? I'm curious as the accuracy of my fuel gauges. Thanks...
